Large UniPlay at Pfullendorf, Germany
The city of Pfullendorf in Germany not only wanted to modernise its playground in the city garden, but also give it a very special flair that enhances the value of the city garden. For this purpose, the old UniPlay playground system was to be replaced with a new, very special system and other playground equipment added.
In the vicinity of the playground there is a railway museum, called "Räuberbahn", which connects Pfullendorf with other places; this forms the the basis for the adventure area "Räuberland". This served as the theme for the playground and thus the UniPlay "Räuberburg" was created.
In keeping with the topic, this unique special playground was planned by our employee Markus Mörz and our design team, together with the customer. In addition to the large UniPlay multi-play system, there is a castle themed UniMini unit for the little ones and a life-like two-meter-high climbing rock. A swing, a seesaw and a carousel round off the gaming experience.
Based on an extensive plan and a photo montage of the future playground, the customer was able to see how the playground would look like and the decision was made quickly.
Together with the fourth graders from a school in Pfullendorf, the playground was officially opened by the municipal building authority with a small celebration in July and was very well received by the locals. Further projects are being planned in the area for the future, such as a multisport facility and an outdoor fitness area to give the older part of the population a great recreational space.
