For over two decades, the UniMini playground at Fredstorget – or "Peace Square" – in the heart of Aneby has been a cherished spot for local families. As time went by, the original play structure began to show signs of wear, but its central location and community value made it clear: this wasn’t a place to replace, but to renew.

A Sustainable Approach to Play

Rather than starting from scratch, the team at HAGS embraced the opportunity to refurbish the existing play unit – a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to a full replacement. By retaining the original skeleton and layout, we preserved the essence of the playground while giving it a vibrant new lease on life.

New panels were installed to refresh the appearance and improve durability, and a small but meaningful expansion added a bit of extra height to create new excitement for young adventurers. The upgraded UniMini unit now blends classic charm with renewed function, making it more engaging than ever for children of all ages.

Community Impact

The refurbished playground continues to be a lively meeting point in Aneby, offering a safe and stimulating environment while honoring the history and memories tied to the original structure. It’s a great example of how thoughtful upgrades can breathe new life into existing spaces—supporting both sustainability and community joy.
