Xiang’er Mountain Park, Qingdao
A mountain adventure designed for children and families
Project Background and goals
Phase I of the Xiang’er Mountain Child-Friendly Park officially opened in 2024, extending the natural landscape of Xiang’ershan into a 32,000 m² child-friendly destination. Featuring five themed zones – Sailing Plaza, Sunset Theater, Dream Garden, Forest Paradise, and Children’s Dreamland – the park was designed to integrate nature engagement, leisure, parent–child interaction, and science education.
The Children’s Dreamland zone is tailored for children aged 2–12:
-
Younger children (2–5 years): Imaginative play in castle complexes and scenic treehouses.
-
Older children (5–12 years): Rope climbing spaces built into the mountain terrain, offering physical challenges, exploration, and a chance to ring the bell at the top.
