800-meter play trail in Helsingborg, Sweden

Playful path

Imagine a path that not only takes you between point A to B, but also makes you happier, inspires you, and gets you moving. This stretch of 800-meter-long “Play Trail” in Helsingborg, Sweden has everything from obstacle courses, mirrors, jump challenges, seating areas, & more!

Inspire playfulness

The city’s aim for this project was to find a new way to connect areas and neighbourhoods, to let playfulness and movement take a greater place in our everyday lives, and which would be suitable for all ages.

Our installations include an inclusive obstacle course, a few Chili barbecue grills, and a Sofiero seating area and Sagitta bike racks in special colours.

A great way to encourage play and movement in what would otherwise have been a boring walk.

Accessible course

Pelle, shown in picture 2, from the sports organisation Alla kan idrottsförening based in the city of Ängelholm, Sweden, tried the accessible obstacle course on the opening day. He also lent out wheelchairs for anyone that wanted to give it a try. The organisation aims to combat exclusion that exists in sports for those who have some form of disability.
