Honouring heritage through play with a purposeful playground for Richlands East State School

      Project brief
Richlands East State School set out to create more than just a playground. They envisioned a purposeful environment where students could grow, connect, and learn, a space aligned with their values of inclusion, heritage, and community.

In collaboration with the school, we designed a bold, multi-sensory space that combines active play with cultural storytelling and opportunities for social interaction. Every design choice, from the dynamic play structures to the welcoming seating areas, was made with the school’s mission in mind.

      Key features

      • Agito Tano multi-play structure
A dynamic unit that encourages motor skill development, teamwork, and problem-solving through interactive climbing and accessible play options for children of all ages and abilities.

      • Inclusivity and accessibility
The space includes a wide range of sensory and inclusive elements to ensure every student can participate and feel welcome.

      Project outcome
The result is a vibrant, engaging play space that has quickly become a favorite among students and educators alike. It stands as a tribute to the school’s commitment to honouring heritage, promoting inclusion, and creating supportive spaces for both play and learning.
