We work with a supply chain we believe in

We strive to nurture long-term relationships, founded on integrity and respect, with our suppliers and employees. We are honest about our products and how they can continue to inspire all generations.

We maintain ongoing dialogue with all our suppliers, encouraging each other on to greater efficiency and effectiveness. The relationship, founded on loyalty and trust, has enabled us to exceed our goals and do more with less detrimental effect on our planet.

Contributing to these global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

HAGS Long term goals for our supply chain

Create a global supplier assessment system to manage risks and ensure transparency. Strengthen the response to Code of Conduct violations by halting deliveries, monitoring action plans, and terminating relationships if necessary. This process will be integrated into the company’s culture for ethical sourcing across the global supply chain.
(ESG: Governance, ESRS: G1 Business Conduct)

Fully embed the HAGS Vision, Mission, and Corporate Values into all aspects of the employee experience by 2034 - ensuring they guide behaviours, decisions, and leadership practices company-wide, reinforced through onboarding, performance management, and continuous cultural development.
(ESG: Governance, ESRS: G1 Business Conduct)

Creating by 2034 an organizational culture of transparency and honesty, where corruption is actively combated.
(ESG: Governance, ESRS: G1 Business Conduct)

HAGS Short term goals for our supply chain

Assess local and level 2 suppliers, expanding to organizational suppliers with site-specific targets. Focus on minimizing risks and enhancing transparency through regular evaluations. If Code of Conduct violations are detected, halt deliveries, develop and monitor an action plan with the supplier, and resume cooperation only if risks are mitigated.
(ESG: Governance, ESRS: G1 Business Conduct)

Strengthen corporate culture by 2026 through active internal communication, leadership alignment, and employee engagement initiatives that promote living the HAGS Vision, Mission, and Corporate Values in daily work.
(ESG: Governance, ESRS: G1 Business Conduct)

Review and improve the system to prevent and detect, investigate, and respond to allegations or incidents relating to corruption or bribery ( implementing a clear anti-corruption policy that will be communicated to all employees, conducting mandatory training and regular internal audits to detect and prevent corruption in key areas of the company's operations).
(ESG: Governance, ESRS: G1 Business Conduct)

Current sustainability actions for our supply chain

We will implement a review cycle for supplier assessment to ensure ongoing compliance and performance improvement.

      HAGS Global Customer Services

Based in Sosnowiec, Poland, Global Customer Services handle product enquiries, order support, technical assistance, and after-sales service. This team plays a crucial role in maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.

      Management of supplier relationships

HAGS carefully selects suppliers based on our core values, prioritizing sustainability, quality, and ethical standards. Every supplier must complete and sign the Supplier Code of Conduct, Supplier Assessment, and meet our sustainability requirements to demonstrate their commitment. We conduct follow-ups every three years with local and level 2 suppliers to ensure ongoing alignment with our expectations.

To manage risks effectively, we assess suppliers using international frameworks such as the Corruption Perceptions Index, Global Rights Index, and UNICEF child labour data. Since 2022, we have set annual targets, achieving 92.1% compliance with our Code of Conduct (initially for Swedish suppliers, with plans to extend globally) and 77.5% with the Supplier Assessment.

      Supplier assessment

We systematically assess local and level 2 suppliers, with plans to expand this to organizational suppliers and set targets for various sites. Regular assessments help minimize risks, adapt to requirements, and enhance transparency and business opportunities.

If we detect violations of our Code of Conduct within our supply chain, we will:

      • Halt deliveries from the supplier.
      • Invite the supplier for a discussion and develop an action plan.
      • Monitor the implementation of the action plan.
      • Manage any deviations.
      • Resume cooperation only if the action plan is properly followed and no risks remain

If the supplier fails to act or adhere to the action plan, we will terminate the cooperation or agreement. This process is applied organization wide.

      For risk analysis, we evaluate:

      1. Corruption Perceptions Index: Countries are rated from 0 (highest corruption) to 100 (lowest). Suppliers from high-risk countries (0-30) undergo detailed social and ethical reviews.

      2. Global Rights Index: Rates human rights respect from 0 (no data) to 5+ (dysfunctional authority). High risks (5, 5+) receive prioritized follow-ups.

      3. UNICEF Child Labor Data: Evaluates child labour incidence from 2012-2022. Countries with ongoing or historical child labour are classified as high, medium, or low risk.

      Risk management

Sustainability risk management involves identifying and addressing potential risks related to environmental, social, and governance factors. It includes assessing supplier practices, ensuring compliance with ethical standards, and implementing action plans for any detected violations. Regular monitoring, risk assessments, and adherence to international frameworks guide decision-making, aiming to minimize risks, enhance transparency, and support long-term sustainability goals. Effective management ensures resilience and alignment with corporate values and regulatory requirements.
