Gullandsgården, Denmark

In 2021, Gullandsgården in København S, Denmark was transformed into a lively outdoor area that brings together play, fitness, and community living. Designed for residents of all ages, the new space offers a wide variety of opportunities for activity, social interaction, and recreation right at the heart of the housing association on Amager.

At the centre of the playground stands a large custom UniPlay pirate ship that encourages imaginative play and adventure for children. Surrounding it, several other pieces of play equipment provide diverse challenges and fun experiences, ensuring that every child can find something to enjoy.

For older children, teenagers, and adults, the site also features outdoor fitness equipment, creating a natural meeting point where generations can come together to stay active and healthy. Combined with green open areas, Gullandsgården has become a welcoming and inclusive space that strengthens community bonds while supporting wellbeing and active lifestyles.
