Magical playground in an enchanted palace, Poland

Making dreams come true with a castle-themed playground for visitors at the magical Kurozwęki Palace in Poland.

About the estate

With my husband, Michal Popiel, we manage the historical Kurozwęki estate in Swietokrzyskie, Poland, which has 450 hectares. The estate has been in my husband's family since the 14th century. We provide work to roughly 100 people in the summer and to around 65 during off-season.

Our businesses include the following:

•  The only bison farm in Poland (85 bison)
• A 14th century building where we have different events such as weddings, seminars, etc.
• A world class Arabian horse farm (around 80 horses both ours and in stabling for various clients including the Saudi Royal family)
• Milk production (800k litres / year) for the Włoszczowa cooperative (a historical cooperative dating back to 1926)

Offering a better experience to our favourite guests!

Two years ago, being both of Belgian and French descent and appreciating quality beer done in the traditional way, I opened the first craft beer brewery in our region; the Aurore Strapart Browar. Around the same time being a mother of three boys aged 5, 8 and 10, it came to my attention that although roughly 50% of our 100,000 yearly guests had young kids, our playground was totally disused, inadequate, and derelict. Besides that, the playground was under trees and I worried a branch might fall on the children.

Impressed by HAGS professionalism and proposal

With some other people from our team that shared my goal to offer a better experience to our favourite guests, the children, we met half a dozen companies to pitch us their playground within a given budget. Hands down Mister Sławomir Zdarowski from HAGS impressed us most by his great professionalism. He also speaks impeccable English which was of great use for the technical terms that I did not possess in Polish.

The offer was within budget and was a step ahead of other proposals. The professionalism throughout the whole process was second to none, not only was the advice spot-on but every unit was installed within the deadline despite a complicated situation with the COVID crisis.

Over the moon with our new playground

Mister Sławomir Zdarowski also did an exceptional job in finding a smart multimedia element (NEOS Arc) to our installation. This is something I wanted to include. The final result is terrific; our favourite guests and my boys are 'over the moon'.

We are already talking about extending our playground and are delighted with the flexibility that the plug and play system (UniPlay) offers us.
